CARBONIZED EXCLUSIVE TECHNOLOGY

Carbonization transforms bamboo under controlled heat and low-oxygen conditions, delivering up to 3× durability, 95% higher moisture resistance, and 30% greater hardness, finished with rustic beauty and tangible sensory appeal.

Materials

The raw materials used are plantation wood, with legal forest certification and imported from reputable suppliers. Bamboo is FSC certified - sustainable forest management standards.

Our Steps

Step 1

 Hydrothermal Treatment

The bamboo sticks are loaded into a steamer and heated with saturated steam under high pressure. The process expels volatile and harmful substances, compresses the structure, hardens the material, and rearranges cell walls to enhance strength and stability.

Step 2

 MOISTURE TREATMENT

After hydrothermal treatment, the wood needs to be dried before the final stage of the process can be carried out. Once the drying chamber is filled with heat-treated wood, the wood is dried again to a moisture content of approximately 8%, over a period of 3-5 days.

Step 3

SOLIDING PHASE

During the curing process, when the wood reaches 8% moisture content, the kiln is heated in dry air. Depending on the type of wood and the size of the grain, the workers will process and cool it again for about 8-12 hours. During the curing process, it is essential that the oxygen level is below 2%, mainly to prevent burning.

After processing, Plato wood is conditioned at a wood moisture content of about 3-5% in a drying chamber for about 1-3 days.
Then it is left in the warehouse for about 10-15 days to stabilize the wood and it is ready for use.
